I’m Pamela Calero, a Communication Artist & Visual Storyteller. I give visual form to ideas to simplify projects that think outside the box.

My multidisciplinary approach uses storytelling as a pillar to go beyond the normative & communicate by providing valuable insights and making the message not only informative but also visually engaging and accessible to diverse audiences.

This means I spend time and energy researching and conceptualizing a project to let its essence embody a concept, which in turn shapes the form that suits that idea best.

I’m an artist who uses soft techniques to talk about complex topics. I do this through poetry, an art and a method that weaves my creative practice and allows me to say complex things in simple(r) ways.

I like to defamiliarize the familiar, to perform archaeological digs on words and ideas to discover what lies beneath, and in doing so, remove the negative prefix from (in)visible and let connexions be seen.

My work revolves around conceptual-linguistic games, the relationship between life, fiction, and normalcy because there is no such thing as normal.

What I like about points of view is their ability to change. Lateral thinking and a critical, curious mind allow us to look at what lies in front with different eyes

I turn the invisible into something other people can see. I craft & tell stories using skills I’ve acquired studying Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Masters in Philosophy & Art Theory, Photography & Editorial Design, Creative Illustration, & courses in Art Therapy. 

Approaching solutions with wit allows me to create and live the creative life I love as I strive to make it a total work of art(gesamtkunstwerk). Why? Because art has healed me. Being healed implies being vulnerable. Everyone has recovered at a certain point from something, from a paper cut to a less anatomical wound.
